Yes, the huge church in the city centre and that is its official title.
We have been invited to sing Evensong in the summer, but it has to be a Saturday afternoon, probably at 3.00pm. The obvious date is Saturday 9 July as we have no offer yet for the adjacent Sunday. Could you please give thought to this because we need to respond. As most of us will be at the annual meal, perhaps we could get a definite response from those who wish to attend the Hull service. (Thanks to David Borill for this opportunity.)
Best wishes to you all for 2011 and beyond from Roger.

Food for thought.
We have no bookings for 2011 apart from January (Carols in Lockington) despite the best efforts of several of us. As fewer churches now have an evening service, maybe we should widen our appeal by offering WG hymns and psalms more as a concert than a church service. I am not clear how copyright affects a situation where we sing and claim no fee but the host church charges for admission. Perhaps we could contact our favourite copyright holders such as Dave Townsend, Mike Bailey, Paul Guppy... to see if we could get permission to use their material on such occasions, even if we need to pay them a (one-off?) fee.
We could possibly discuss this in September over tea. Meantime I attach a PDF file listing all the music we have available which you might like to peruse. You can easily search the file using the PDF “Find” box. (Apologies to those of you without computers but it takes 12 sides of A4 to print!)
I have tentatively booked the Light Dragoon at Etton for a meal in January before we sing at Lockington. We had a good meal there a few years ago. Likely costs:- Two courses £13, Three courses £16 both including tea/coffee.
