The 'Len Jordan’/ WMS/ DH ranges
Important notice: New owner - Dave Hampson - more details: see below
This is the extensive (& quality) range originally produced by Len Jordan of merchant ships, mainly from UK companies, and manufactured in resin to 1/1200 scale. Following Len’s death the kits were produced by Les & Alan Hodder. Some models were withdrawn by Len before his death: Les & Alan had a policy of gradual re-introduction of these models, often re-mastered and with a number are also being reissued as armed merchantmen & auxiliaries of World War II (K series). My policy has been to keep as many of all the major items in stock, as possible. All LJ/WMS sold via this site are new (unless otherwise noted) and were produced by WMS. I aim to keep a good stock and particularly models of ships of those two classic freight companies - Alfred Holt (Blue Flue) & T&J Harrison.
In May of 2018 Les & Alan decided (for the best of reasons) to retire. They have sold the moulds, masters & ‘plant’ to Dave Hampson - a long-time UK collector who is planning to retire, relocate, and put the series back into production. This should be looked upon as a long-term project. Further information will be given as and when I have it. Because of the changes in ownership I am describing these (at the moment) as the Len Jordan / WMS / DH ranges - changes are bound to happen). The models in stock are from the WMS production runs.
All models in these ranges are available to order as kits. Please enquire for the availability of painted models. Models which are in stock are shown by a red (X). Models on order and awaited are shown by (X)A
All models listed on this pages can be obtained directly from Tim Hudson by mail, or at the ‘Ship Shows’ and other events that he visits (or even by calling personally). Prices listed are in GBP Sterling, and exclude a contribution towards postage. Payment may be made by a number of means: Paypal, cash, a personal cheque drawn in GBP on a UK bank, or by bank transfer. Regrettably I’m not able to accept payment by Credit or Debit Card.
For further details contact Tim Hudson: convoy [at] photrek.co.uk or on direct telephone 01522 524672 (Overseas dialling: 00 44 1522 524672)
The list was last updated on 1st February, 2019. All ‘L’ series models are to the 'Ship Recognition Scale' of 1/1200 (1" = 100').
